Infinite Devices take 3rd place at Hugo Junkers

The young AIoT company from Magdeburg combines the Internet of Things with artificial intelligence and won third place in the renowned Hugo Junkers competition for research and innovation in Saxony-Anhalt.

Saxony-Anhalt’s research and innovation prize, worth 80,000 euros, was dedicated this year to the three established categories and to the main topic “Applied Interactive Technologies” (APITs), which is awarded as a special prize. < /b>In a multi-stage jury process, an independent jury from science, industry, business and trade nominates the finalists for the final round according to the following criteria: corporate strategy, degree of innovation, resource efficiency, profitability and marketability. Until October 1st of this year, companies and institutions were invited to apply for the Hugo Junkers Prize for Research and Innovation from Saxony-Anhalt 2020 with their innovative ideas and projects “Made in Saxony-Anhalt”.

The Hugo Junkers Prize goes back to the engineer and aircraft manufacturer. A jury of more than 100 applicants will select 21 nominees from the areas of basic research, applied research, products, services and business models. For almost 30 years now, the Ministry of Economics, Science and Digitization of the State of Saxony-Anhalt has been awarding the Hugo Junkers Prize for forward-looking innovations from science, industry and trade. Infinite-Devices-CEO Bruno Kramm summarizes: “This award is an incentive for us not only to bundle and manage our efforts to not only bundle and manage the almost incomprehensible stream of data from thousands of sensors through artificial intelligence, but also through the sophisticated combination of big data analysis, cloud orchestration and AI to create a clearly noticeable added value for industry, SMEs and public clients.”
