Cut Spencer: Stop Security Gaps at Airport Grounds with Artificial Intelligence! —

The actions of the “Letzte Generation” in Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf and Berlin since November 2022 are a clear indication of the massive security gaps at airports.

Even double rod mat fences with anti-climb protection were quickly cracked on July 13, 2023 in Hamburg: The stability has its limits and even 2.50 meter high security fences with barbed wire are ineffective if bolt cutters from the hardware store are used.

WITH AI, FENCE BREAKDOWN BECOMES IMPOSSIBLE

Bar fences with barbed wire at airports are not an obstacle: New security standards are required: “Breaking in is impossible with our cut spencer system,” explains Bruno Kramm, CEO of Infinite Devices, “because artificial intelligence recognizes manipulation and the cutting through of fences.” Smart Sensor, a small computer unit, analyzes noises in the wire, which are perceived via a structure-borne microphone.Alarms from the small measuring units are subjected to a more precise ML analysis in the central unit in order to avoid any false alarms.

EXACT POSITION SHOWN IN DASHBOARD

The GDPR-compliant dashboard with innovative controls is hosted via the Infinite Devices cloud or on the customer’s server. Alarms on the fence, on the dashboard and on mobile devices can be individually programmed and also integrated into existing security architectures. The exact position is displayed and signals the last transmitted status of the CU on the dashboard.

CAN THE ALARM TRIGGER BE INTEGRATED INTO A VIDEO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM?

Yes, if the integration is to start and stop filming. Integration into existing security systems is possible via our API. The activation of additional cameras in public spaces after an alarm does not violate data protection.

WHICH COMPONENTS ARE THERE? HOW HIGH IS THE POWER CONSUMPTION?

The sensor can detect vibration, flexibility, shock and touch – with digital and analog dual output signals. Cut Spencer requires no more power than one Raspberry (5V 3A) for each unit. The distribution depends on the type of installation (Edge-Center / Center).

HOW TO LOCATE THE TRIGGER ON 200 METERS SECTIONS?

The integrated sensor AI already has a very high level of accuracy. Nevertheless, suspicious noises are checked further by a second, more powerful AI before an alarm is triggered. This prevents so-called “false positives” (false alarms).

HOW MANY SYSTEMS DO YOU NEED TO SECURE THE FENCES?

That depends a lot on the structure of the fence. If a metal fence is completely connected, i.e. does not consist of several interrupted segments, fewer microphones (sensors) are required. After an initial on-site test, the optimum number of sensors and devices is determined. Basically, a central unit takes care of the complete array of serial Smart Sensors.
